Seven Wonders of the World

There are lots of things which we consider normal. And as a matter of fact – very often we don’t even notice them. But they are marvelous. Well … yes, there is a good reason why people say that the really valuable things in life can’t be bought with money or even made by men.

I would like to show you seven photos I took during February and March 2017 which in my opinion proof that. All these photos show some part of nature, plants, animals, water… or in other words the seven wonders of the world. I gave them all titles like: see, hear, touch, taste, feel, laugh and love. Have a look yourself.

SEE. In my opinion the first wonder is the possibility to see. I picked for you a photo of an olive grove near Córdoba.

HEAR. I choose as a second photo a fountain in Parque Maria Luisa, just imagine listening to the water… marvelous, isn’t it?

TOUCH. Don’t you want to touch these delicate flowers? In my opinion this photo shows beautifully their fragility and strength.

TASTE. The sense of taste shows us the world again from an other perspective. Honey and nectar are symbols of original taste…

FEEL. I choose this fifth photo just because it will make you feel good, at least that’s what I hope for.

LAUGH. One of the most amazing things humans do, they laugh, giggle, chuckle and very important, it is possible to make other people laugh. Laughter and happiness make the day for everybody.

LOVE. Love is the best and certainly most extraordinary thing that can happen to us. Love comes in so many different ways, it is never the same and hard to capture. For me love is the seventh wonder of the world.

Photos show what you see. Photos are a memory of a special moment. Photos are valuable to many of us. But photos tell us at the same time  a story. Ok, so what? Well. Nowadays, with the series we can create our own narration.

And we do. We tell what we would like to see or to be seen by you. Whats true? What’s invented? Who knows? How can we know? A photo is a picture, is a copy, is an image … You see? Well, it is set and constructed. If consciously or not, who can tell?

Anyway, I took four selfies during the last 10 days. I was asked to send a photograph… and yes, I did it. I used for the selfie my mobile in order to make it more realistic. I took the first selfie on the roof terrace, the second on a parking lot with a nice car, the third on an excursion to the countryside and the fourth in a local brewery. Have a look yourself.

Wisdom is a need

Sometimes all we need is a laugh or a bit of wisdom… I found that kind of wisdom in a shopwindow in a town called Saarbrücken in Germany. Have a look for yourself.

“Ich kenne keinen Stress. Höchstens Strass.” It means more or less: I don’t know stress, perhaps strass or if at all only rhinestone. That’s a nice thing to think to be true… but certainly we all know stress… well it could be worse.

I am sure most of you agree… Have a nice weekend.

Columbus and the Egg

The “Egg of Columbus” is supposed to be the knowledge itself… well, I am not too sure about that. But I went to see the “Egg of Columbus” right here in Sevilla. Yes, it exists really. It is huge so no excuse if you can’t find it. No joke it is there and a part of the Parque  del Alamillo.

Street Art

Along the river Guadalquivir in Sevilla there is a nice path. You can walk for hours. And that’s exactly what I did. I went for a walk at the river. And there are lots of graffitis, some of them are really great, witty or just wow. Of course I took a few photos to show you. Here you are:
